Beauty and portrait retouching is subjective and a matter of personal taste, so use this method as much or as little as you want. This tutorial was created to go along with my book,...

Hi, can I ask what format the custom profiles are in? I have profiles in .ncp format, but Lightroom doesn't recognize them. Thank you!

I feel like I'm not "seeing" what everyone else is seeing in this tutorial. What I'm missing is an understanding of what areas need to be altered and which need to be left alone. I know that probably seems really elementary and simplistic....but I can't see the decision-making process. Can anyone offer some assistance in understanding how to "see" the needs of the image?

If you are working with Elements 2020, is there a way to do this dodging and burning? Is there an option in Elements to create the 2 adjustment layers? Your book has been very useful. Thanks.

how do I set my color picker to default to 50% gray 128/128/128 or 808080, mine always defaults to something else? I don't like to have to type in the 808080 every time I open the color picker.
